Who Are You Wearing?

This Sparrow animation was created based on a poem by Claire Diament, a creative writing student who recently graduated from OCAD. It was conceptualized in tandem with the Sparrow book

. To sum up that project, I had the opportunity to interview Diament about her poem and translate it into a publication, as well as this animation.

Similarly to the publication, I was inspired by the images of a young girl writing in the margins of her Bible in the poem, so I hand-drew frames with pencil to mimic sketchy drawings within notebooks. I also drew on vellum, calling back to the vellum pages of the original book I designed.
